Music and Meditation with Israel Hurtado and Joy Hope

Dear soul brothers and sisters!
I hope you had a wonderful summer solstice! It seems like many of us are adapting to new ways of interact among each other. Yet, many still struggling and confused in the new currents of energy brought by the level of consciousness with the energy of Covid.

The minds of many still wondering and trying to grasp to the changes that we are facing as human beings, as brothers and sisters and light workers we can hold the hand for those who still wondering in the energies. We can do this by remain together in heart and Selfless-Presence. 

​Remember, we are connected energetically with every energetic being in the universe, even though most of the times we do not understand or see that connection. Keep our center through these transforming times is a way to surf among the waves of energy. To remind in our center is continuously practice to see and look at things from our higher self. Our minds can be deceiving and can lead one to the darkest places triggering reactions that are unhealthy for our mental and emotional being. Our center is the capacity to hold the connection to our spirit light and remain open to that universal force that leads our way while we are in this journey. Let's bring our minds, hearts, and soul together to help each other navigate the turbulent  oceans in our current time. 

Music has been one of the greatest inspirations for me during this time, therefore I have incorporated amazing musicians the last two gatherings. And this Saturday is not an exception. Our guest musician this time is Joy Hope. I've known Joy for at least seven years or more. We have been working together doing drumming circles, co-creating the International Day of Peace in Stockton for the last 6 years, I think. Joy is a great soul and human being that I have the honor to present this time, please meet Joy Hope a musician, healer and peace activist.

Joy started on the piano and violin, had many lessons and enjoyed both instruments until music took a back seat to adulting. An early retirement allowed her to resume her music, grow spiritually, learn Reiki and open a Reiki practice. And she was drawn to her first drum.  In 2010, Joy moved to Stockton, California and now she has many drums, rattles, gongs, Tibetan bowls, bells, chimes and more and she’s studied here with wonderful violin, drum, drum circle, music medicine and energy healing instructors. It’s been an exciting decade!
